Grade 4 - Julie Kook

I am very happy and thankful for the Call to teach 4th grade at St. Paul's this year! My husband, Tom, and I have been married for 30 years. We reside in Muskego and have 2 sons, Bradley and Jordan. Brad and Jordan both graduated from St. Paul's and WISCO. Brad resides in Muskego with his wife Abby and is attending medical school at Medical College of Wisconsin. Jordan graduated from UW - Madison majoring in History and Political Science and is now attending graduate school at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN. I grew up in Indiana and met Tom while we both attended Carthage College. I have my bachelors degree in Elementary Education and Special Education-Cognitively Disabled from Carthage College and have my master's degree in Early Childhood - Young Handicapped from Cardinal Stritch University. Over the years, I taught in a variety of learning environments. I taught in Gary, IN as a Child Development Therapist, at St. Francis Children's Center in Milwaukee as an Infant Learning Supervisor and Parent Trainer, at Tess Corners Elementary School as a Special Education - Early Childhood Teacher, as well as teaching upper grade English, Computer Lab, and Art here at St. Paul's. I have been a substitute teacher at St. Paul's and a number of other WELS elementary schools. Previously, I was the 5th grade teacher at St. Paul's., and now certainly enjoy my call to teach 4th grade at St. Paul's. Tom and I also own 2 Dairy Queens, one in Racine and the other in Fond du lac, WI. In my free time, I enjoy boating, walking, reading, and especially getting together with our sons and daughter-in-law!
