Even though it’s the middle of summer, preparations for the 2009-2010 school year are rolling along. We’d like to wish our 16 graduating seniors God’s blessings as they enter their high school years. We trust that they will take with them the academic and biblical teachings they received from St. Paul’s. Nine of our sixteen eighth graders were awarded the President’s Academic Achievement Award. These were given for scoring a minimum 3.5 GPA and scoring high on achievement tests, congratulations! (08-09 school testing results can be found in our school website under document downloads.)

 

Staffing updates:

We thank Jesus for leading Julie Kook to accept our call to serve as our 4^th grade teacher. Besides her elementary teaching degree, Mrs. Kook also has a major in special education, and her master degree is in special education. Mrs. Kook had just finished up a one-year call in our fifth grade this year. 

We also look forward to welcoming Justin Walz to our staff as our fifth grade teacher. Mr. Walz accepted our call from St. Phillip’s in Milwaukee. Mr. Walz will also serve as our athletic director. We thank Mr. Steffen for his years of service as AD, I believe 15 years!

In our departmentalized grades 6-8, we will happy that Samantha O’Connell will be returning to teach in the mornings. She will serve as grade 6 homeroom teacher and among her teaching duties will be literature and writing. Annie Hintze will be helping us out by teaching art in the upper grades and helping with some of the study halls – but she will still be serving in our learning center as well. Kate Albrecht will be teaching music once a week for each of our grades 6-8 classrooms too. The current departmentalized teachers will pick up some of the other classes.
